- Design, develop, and maintain Playwright test scripts for UI/UX automation using TypeScript/JavaScript
- Collaborate with QA/development teams to create detailed test plans aligned with 3-week release cycles (planning, implementation, validation).
- Execute automated tests across WebKit, Chromium, and Firefox in headless mode, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Generate HTML reports/trace logs for failures using Playwright’s built-in tools; debug and resolve issues.
- Ensure tests are modular, independent, and follow Page Object Model (POM) patterns per repository standards.
- Seed test data via gRPC/HTTP APIs and validate backend interaction.
- Continuously improve the automation framework and expand coverage to mobile (iOS/Android), backend APIs, and BLE integration (future scope).
- Ensure compliance with entry/exit criteria: audit polling, and test artifact submission.
- Experience: 3+ years in UI/automation testing, including Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Languages: TypeScript (mandatory); strong knowledge of gRPC/HTTP APIs.
- Web Testing: Expertise in cross-browser/headless execution, HTML reporting, and trace analysis.
- Mobile: Experience with iOS/Android build/flash/logging for future app automation.
- Agile: Familiarity with sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- English: B1-B2 (Intermediate) for global team collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- JavaScript and Python knowledge
- CI/CD Pipelines: Integration of automated tests into CI workflows.
- Embedded Systems: West, JLink, or firmware testing tools.
- Cloud Testing: AWS device farm or equivalent. AWS CloudWatch for monitoring; SQL for test data validation.
- Backend Testing: Load/API validation.
Python knowledge is important for future enhancements however TypeScript/JavaScript is the core language of Playwright that will be used. If anything both would be highly recommended, but to get boots on the ground for automation testing TS/JS would be what we be needed.
